About Chrysanthemum
Literary Society
We are a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization incorporated in Washington State for the promotion of literature, education, and world peace.
Our Story
Everything has a beginning. We began in 2003 in Seattle as a literary organ publishing a zine called Chrysanthemum. We did not anticipate the reach we have established today. We have gotten support from the City of Seattle, the State of Washington, Poets and Writers magazine to tell our story and the stories of many others of all persuasions from the homeless, the mentally ill, to poets and writers of all levels of accomplishments such that our authors have won national awards, been reviewed by the graduate school of Harvard, and now we have a foothold in Asia, featuring and promoting self-taught poets and writers as well as comfortably-situated professors in renowned universities. We have a press, goldfishbooks.com, that publishes literary books of all genres. Our span continues to grow. We hope you will join us in our mission of promoting literature, education, and world peace.
